A BVI Yacht Charter is the perfect choice for your first crewed yacht charter vacation. As well as your second, third, fourth and fifth. The motto of the British Virgin Islands says it all, "Nature's Best Kept Secret". More than 60 islands and cays make up the BVI which stretches about 35 miles from end to end. Consistent trade winds, calm seas, protected anchorages, and consistent year-round temperatures make this the most popular yacht charter destination in the eastern hemisphere.

Hundreds of Crewed BVI Yacht Charters are Available: Sailing Yacht Charters, Motor Yacht Charters, Catamaran Charters, Mega Yacht Charters, and Super Yacht Charters. Yet despite all of these charter yachts, there are still places where you can be the only charter boat in the harbor.

Small Sailing Distances: On a yacht charter in the British Virgin Islands, we typically sail for a couple of hours at a time in protected waters, always within sight of land. That leaves you plenty of time to enjoy all of the activities that make BVI sailing vacations so special - snorkeling, tubing, water skiing, beaching, relaxing, kite boarding, fishing- you can be as active or as passive as you choose.

Smooth Sailing on Calm Waters: The islands are shaped like a necklace in the sea, providing good shelter which translates into calm seas. There's no open ocean sailing.

Off the Beaten Travel Path: Although many people have visited the nearby islands of St. Thomas and St. John in the USVI, few have experienced the "real Virgins" - those off-the-beaten track places that you can only get to on a BVI yacht charter. We like to go to those places that the big cruise ships can't.

Some of Our Favorite Destinations to Explore on a Yacht Charter in the British Virgin Islands

Jost Van Dyke: Captivating, quaint, magical, alluring… and beyond fun, Jost Van Dyke is often a favorite of all of our guests on their BVI sailing vacations. Maybe it’s that long, gorgeous stretch of sugar beach or the barefoot ambiance or the giggle as chickens and cows share your walk with you... or maybe it’s the local libation, the painkiller, which contrary to published claims of its origins, was first imbibed right here. The names of the beach bars alone are enough to lure you here - Ivan's Stress Free Bar, Sydney's Peace and Love, the Soggy Dollar (because you have to swim there and your greenbacks get wet) and of course, the world renowned Foxy's

Virgin Gorda: "The Baths"on Virgin Gorda are probably the most photographed natural site in the Virgins, and they are a wow! House-sized boulders lining a powder white beach - you hike inside the grottos for wading and snorkeling and enjoying the sunsplashed views through the cathedral openings to the sky. Sail aboard your yacht charter in the British Virgin Islands, and you'll discover shoreside spas, boutique shopping, beautiful sun-dappled beaches, all shapes and sizes of restaurants and pubs, lovely bays for watersports, and lighthearted welcoming people. And not to be missed, the famous Happy Aaaaarh with Michael Beans. Yo, ho, ho and a bottle of rum.

Peter Island: Another of the ten best beaches in the Caribbean - Deadman's Bay.  The name is a bit frightful - it's where Bluebeard stranded his traitors with a cutlass and a bottle of rum.  But history, or sea tale, aside, it's on the grounds of the Peter Island Yacht Club and Resort and it's a lovely spot to loll away the afternoon during your sailing vacation in the BVI. The Spa at Peter Island is built overlooking a secluded beach, 150 feet from the water, close enough to hear the waves and high enough to enjoy the astonishing view, bordered by coconut palms and filled with the ever-changing blues of Caribbean sea and sky.

Norman Island: A totally deserted island thought to be the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's "Treasure Island." We often anchor in "The Bight" where pirates used to tuck away their ships, getting ready to plunder and pillage. There's still an old pirate ship, affectionately known as the "Willie T", floating at anchor as well as Pirates ashore. And if you yearn for peace and plenty, you can tuck round the point to Benure's Bay where you might be the only charter yacht in the anchorage.

Anegada: The hidden jewel of the BVI. It's the only atoll in the Virgins and is surrounded by coral reef.  It hugs the water so closely, you cannot see it until you are almost there.  It's sleepy, magically beautiful with beach after beach with nary a footprint in the sand. Aboard your yacht charter in the British Virgin Islands, after the sun sets and the sky is flooded with stars, you'll swear the world has evaporated around you. Anegada is world renowned among fly fisherman for its bone fishing. Guides and flats boats are available.  Lobsters plucked fresh from the sea are a specialty on Anegada.

A BVI sailing vacation has something for everyone and is ideal for families and first time charterers.
